Helen Johnston
Senior Community Archaeologist
I have a BA in Archaeology from the University of York, and an MA in Environment, Culture and Society from Lancaster University. I worked as a Diversity Adviser for The Scout Association before moving to the Heritage Lottery Fund to develop policies and guidance on increasing young people’s involvement in heritage projects. I then went on to manage volunteer programmes at a number of organisations including Diabetes UK, RNIB and Parkinson’s UK. I’ve volunteered with the Thames Discovery Programme for more than five years, coordinating the Greenwich FROGs.
