Archaeology from the Thames
Birkbeck Course Mon 10 Jan 2011 from 6.30pm-8.30pm for 11 meetings
The Thames is key to London’s importance as a major international city. The archaeology of the foreshore is a seemingly inexhaustible source of evidence for the material culture of Londoners over time. This one-term module examines some of the major classes of artefact recovered, including pottery from Roman to Victorian times, clay tobacco pipes, glass, metal and other finds. This course will be taught by Jacqui Pearce.
Fees and Registration
Fees are £225 (£115) or £300 (£150) if you have previous higher education qualifications. Find out more and how to register on the course page of the Birkbeck website.
