Bookings are now open for training to become a member of the Foreshore Recording and Observation Group and volunteer with Thames Discovery Programme.

Our training programme takes place over four days and includes health and safety training, lectures about Thames archaeology from the Thames Discovery Programme team, foreshore fieldwork sessions on iconic London beaches and guided walks to sites of archaeological and historical interest.

Rotherhithe

April 19th: Mortimer Wheeler House, 46 Eagle Wharf Road, N1 7ED, 1015-1530
April 20th: Rotherhithe foreshore 1000-1300, Mortimer Wheeler House 1430-1630
April 21st: Rotherhithe foreshore 1030-1330, Port of London Walk/London Bubble Theatre, SE16 4JD 1430-1630
April 22nd: Rotherhithe foreshore 1100-1400, Port of London Walk/London Bubble Theatre, SE16 4JD 1500-1700

Fees:

Waged: £100 (only £25 a day)
Unwaged: £50
Londoners aged over 75: FREE! Thanks to the kind support of City Bridge Trust

Once you’ve completed your training, any fieldwork and monitoring you take part in with us is free.

How to pay:

When we receive your application form, we will send you a link and information on how to pay the course fee, either in full now, or alternatively, to pay a £25 deposit now and pay the remainder in April 2018.
