Free riverside stroll looking at the archaeology of the Thames foreshore from the footpath aimed at Londoners with limited mobility and/or aged 65+

Join one of our professional archaeologists to find out about the archaeology of the Strand-on-the-Green from the Thames footpath. The walk route is step free along the whole route. Total walk length is about two fifths (0.4) of a mile but attendees will probably need to retrace their steps to return to public transport.

The meeting point for this walk is at the Strand-on-the-Green side of the Bell and Crown (W4 3PL). This is about a third of a mile from Kew Bridge Railway station where there are also local bus services. Please check with TfL for full details.

This walk is funded by the City Bridge Trust for Londoners aged over 65. Younger Londoners with mobility difficulties are also welcome. If you’re accompanying someone over 65 or someone with mobility difficulties you’re very welcome.

Please note: this event does not take place on the foreshore itself but on the footpath overlooking it.
