Thames Discovery Programme Archaeology Club Taster Day.

Age? Best suited for children 8+ years

Cost, local families (Lewisham, Greenwich, Southwark, Tower Hamlets) – £2 per child (children must be accompanied)
Cost (other areas) – £4 per child (children must be accompanied)

An opportunity for young time travellers and budding archaeologists to meet the Thames Discovery Programme team and try their hand at archaeology-based activities:

  • Find out about archaeology found by the Thames at low tide.
  • Learn how fishtraps on the Thames helped feed both the rich and the poor.
  • Have a go at weaving willow.

What to wear? Clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
