Thames Lark 2022 Queenhithe

Celebrate Totally Thames 2023

Take a guided walk with archaeologists from the Thames Discovery Programme and explore an alternative history of the River Thames. as part of the Totally Thames festival 2023.. This guided walk will amplify unheard voices from the past and unwrap hidden stories.

We’ll start our journey at the Queenhithe mosaic near the Millennium Bridge and follow the river to map stories through time and space. Along the way walk participants will receive pages of artwork and stories that build together to create a special edition zine.

We’ll cover around 10km and finish our walk in London Docklands.
Please note that this walk takes place on the streets above the river and involves several flights of steps between the Thames Path and the road. It may therefore not be suitable for young children or people with mobility difficulties.
We will stop for a short lunch break. You’re welcome to bring your own lunch or there are places to pick up food along the route

The walk will begin at 11:00am, meet at the corner next to the Queenhithe Mosaic close to the Millennium Bridge.  (Find the location on What3Words or Google Maps

Standard tickets are £20 and concessionary tickets at £10 are available for over 65s, under 25s, disabled people or living with long-term health conditions, or people claiming means-tested benefits.
