Westminster River Walk
11th and 12th September 2010 11am; 2pm; 5pm
Duration is approximately 1.5 hours, meeting at Temple tube station and finishing at Pimlico tube station. This will cost £4 per person.
The Thames flows through 16 different Boroughs in London (well, the City of Londonplus 15 London Boroughs if one wants to get technical about it!). This walk is going to follow the path of the Thames through one of those Boroughs – Westminster.
The walk will over how the Thames gave London its name back in the pre-Roman era; show you a permanently-moored ship where they make a mean Bloody Mary; find out where you can go to see some Modern Art… and if you’re very good, decipher the Hieroglyphics on the Sphinxes that protect Cleopatra’s Needle!
