A Celebration of the Working Life of the River Thames

Bamber Gascoigne, patron of the Environment Trust, will host a reception and introduce a series of presentations on the river’s working heritage by
Ken Dwan, former Master of the Company of Watermen and Lightermen
Mark Edwards, boatbuilder, of Richmond Bridge Boathouses
James Wisdom, Chair of Thames Explorer Trust and Brentford and Chiswick Local History Society

Students of Christ’s School will show work in progress on the Heritage Lottery funded project Between the Locks, recording oral histories of river workers.
