Revisiting the 1990s!

Over the last couple of weeks, we have been lucky enough to work with three students from Cardiff University who have been on placement with MOLA.

Meg Healy, Katie Faillace and Ainsley Macarthur have been helping the Thames Discovery Programme to sort out the archive we inherited from the Thames Archaeological Survey at the beginning of the HLF project, including scanning and organising the press archive, sorting through the paper archive, and the most mammoth task of all, scanning the original slide archive of over 3,000 transparencies, and building on the work of the FROG, starting to upload these to our Flickr account. You can now see images from the 1990s uploaded at Chelsea, Charlton, Chiswick, Greenwich, Vauxhall, Isleworth (see above!) and Erith and we hope to add more here as time goes on…..
