The recording of our Tideway Talk with Lauren Speed from Portable Antiquities Scheme ‘*Finding London’s PASt‘ is now on our* YouTube channel. If you missed the talk or want to see some of the amazing artefacts again, now’s your chance!

Every year, thousands of archaeological objects are discovered by members of the public. The information about these finds is recorded onto the Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) database where it is available for public research and it is helping to shape our understanding of Britain’s past. This talk gives an overview of the PAS nationally, before looking at the work of the Scheme in London, and some of the wonderful discoveries from the Thames Foreshore and greater London area. Recorded on the 15 February 2021.

We’re pleased to be able to offer this talk free of charge thanks to support from Tideway
