Stunning Foreshore Artefacts

In 2012, and earlier in 2013 we’ve featured regular updates of the amazing finds made by mudlarker John Higginbotham (Thames and Field Metal Detecting Society / Society of Thames Mudlarks) and this latest gallery is no exception! John has continued to discover and record an astonishing range of items, mostly from the City of London foreshore, searching both ‘eyes only’ and using a detector where permitted. The slideshow below includes some fantastic artefacts including a unique toy cannon, Anglo-Saxon, medieval and Tudor coins, pilgrim badges, spoons, scissors, seals and keys.
