More Finds from Woolwich John
Fantastic artefacts from the foreshore
We’ve been featuring regular updates on the TDP site of amazing finds made by mudlarker John Higginbotham and this new gallery is no exception! John has continued to discover and record an amazing range of items, mostly from the City of London foreshore, searching both ‘eyes only’ and using a detector where permitted. Nick Stevens (also from the Thames and Field Metal Detecting Society / Society of Thames Mudlarks) has been photographing John’s finds and the slideshow below includes some fantastic artefacts including tokens, Roman and Anglo-Saxon coins, buckles, spurs, children’s toys and a very rare Roman seal box. Enjoy!
