Our Totally Thames 2021 Highlights
This month we’re delighted to be taking part in the totally brilliant Totally Thames Festival
This month-long festival celebrates the River Thames with arts events, active adventures, environmental initiatives, heritage and education programmes. There are a huge number of events to choose from, so we’ve put together ten of our highlights* to help get you started. We’ve chosen a mixture of events, some in-person and some online, some for the young and some for the young-at-heart.
For the creative among you we’ve chosen events that use the Thames as inspiration for storytelling and poetry plus fun family activities for deaf and hearing families. If you’d prefer to enjoy creations made by other people you could immerse yourself in an online soundscape, or visit a new artwork that explores the Thames in its wider context.
We’ll be running our popular archaeology walks on the foreshore and you might also like to visit an interactive exhibition of mudlarking finds or join a museum team for some hands-on archaeology for children and accompanying adults.
There are dozens of events taking place during September for the festival, you can explore them all on the Totally Thames Festival website. Whatever you do, have fun and enjoy the Thames!
