Sainsbury Study Centre
Archives at the Museum in Docklands
The Sainsbury Study Centre based at the MiD is a very useful source of information if you are researching the development and activity of the docks, ports and river from 1770 onwards..including some 40 000 photos and 10 000 books on port history! It’s open by appointment, and has a lot of computerised records although if you can’t get there, there is a wide range of online resources available through the archive website.
