Thames Film Footage Online
The British Film Institute has made a large number of films from their archive available online at YouTube, including a collection of films made in London; the oldest one features footage of Blackfriars Bridge dating to 1896!
You can also access further films from the BFI National Archive collection for free at the BFI Southbank Mediatheque.
Don’t forget that the Thames Discovery Programme’s own contributions to the film archive of the River Thames (made by Anies Hassan of Tollan Films) are all available online too, through the Vimeo website or on Youtube.
