As a Family Activities Volunteer you will be running an object handling table in the galleries, especially for family visitors, during weekends and school holidays. Alongside another volunteer, you will have a set of objects which you will use to share with families their place in London’s history, and facilitate the handling of these objects. You will be trained on a range of objects in the Learning Collection so you are comfortable with speaking confidently on these objects.

If you have the following skills then this may be the role for you:

• enthusiasm for working with families and in particular young children
• an interest in history and museum learning
• good customer service experience
• good verbal communication and organisational skills
• ability to work on your own and in a team
• reliability.
