We’re really pleased to be able to say that the team are all now back at work after being furloughed since April. Josh and Will are working full time and Helen is back to her regular part-time hours, 2.5 days a week.

We’ve spent the last few weeks planning our return to the foreshore, with updated risk assessments and rejigging our monitoring plans and outreach activities. We’ll be relaunching our guided foreshore walks, with changes to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers and participants during the COVID-19 outbreak, more details will be available soon. We’re really looking forward to being on the river again and catching up with you all!

It’s fair to say that the last few months have been difficult, but we’re thinking about the future and how we can make TDP sustainable for the long term. Our existing funders, Tideway and City Bridge Trust have been understanding of the need to change our plans to adapt to the current situation, and we’ve been fortunate to receive funding from the Thames Water Community Investment Fund which gives us some security for the next few months (this is financially supported by Thames Water shareholders and not through customer bills).
